Mt. Makihata 'Idoone Route'
Minami Uonuma City
Dotted alpine plants in the meadow on a summit area, with flowers blooming in profusion.
Once you see the signpost for the 'Idoone' route, travel through a copse trees area on a gentle hill road to the third station. Proceed slightly past that and you will reach a steep hill called Ido's Wall. Climb up Zigzag Moto to the 5th station and exit the small flat area called 'Yakematsu'. View Komekozawa Slab and a waterfall and arrive at the 6th station observation deck by climbing the gentle hill to 'Idoone'. From Mae Makihata descend slightly to where Makihatayama hutte resides. A water area is located slightly down to the east from Komekozawa Gendo. Just past the hutte proceed on a gentle path to where ponds and alpine plants are blossoming. The highest place of the summit is inaccessible due to the preservation of vegetation.
