The author of Hokuetsu-Seppu, Suzuki Bokushi's family temple
Designated by the prefecture as a natural monument, the famous Ohatsuki Ichou (gingko tree) is an estimated 200 years old. A writer from the Edo Period, Suzuki Bokushi's parents' home was also a Japanese peppermint shop in the final days of the shogunate, and his works are on display there today.
