Yuzawa Town
It is the only remaining daimyo inn of the old Mikuni Old Trade Road.
Constructed over 370 years ago, this lodge was used during the Edo period as the daimyo's alternate residence for the daimyo's ministers and Bugyou Sado.
During the Meiji Restoration Aritomo Yamagata and Ogai Mori lodged here. It is the only remaining daimyo inn of the old Mikuni Old Trade Road. It was designated as a cultural site of Niigata Prefecture in 1954.
