Fall Foliage Experience by Gondola Day Trip from Tokyo

Ride Japan’s longest gondola enjoying views of the stunning mountains and fall colors along the 3.4 mile (5481m) course. Stroll around the top station, taking in the scenery and fresh air, and stroll across to the Tashiro Ropeway.

Meet at Yukiguni Tourist Information outside the Echigo Yuzawa Station West Exit at your preferred time.

From there, you will hop on a private taxi for about 35 minutes to the Naeba Dragondola Station. The “Dragondola” was named so by a famous Japanese pop singer, Matsutoya Yumi. This 3.4 mile (5481m) meter gondola ride takes about 25 minutes and you get off at the far side at the Tashiro Station.

Here, you will have some free time to walk around and enjoy the view before the 30 minute walk over to the Tashiro Ropeway Station. This tour offers one of Japan’s longest vertical descents at 754ft (230m) and overlooks the emerald green Tashiro Lake and Mount Naeba. Ride down the Tashiro Ropeway (which takes about 10 minutes) and the taxi will be waiting for you at the bottom. It will bring you back to the Echigo-Yuzawa Station.

Please note: the entire tour will take about 3.5 hours and does not include a guide.
